Matthew originally trained as an actor, gaining a 1st Class BA Hons degree in Theatre Arts – Acting from Bretton Hall College, University of Leeds.
Following work as an actor and choreographer in the UK and Europe, Matthew turned his attentions to directing, forming a youth theatre company MOBstars as well as directing projects for the acclaimed Hampstead Players.
He trained as a director on the 1 Year Postgraduate Directing Course at Drama Studio London, graduating in July 2009.
