The Killing of Sister George

Following the success of the UK tour of Abigails Party in 2009 Goodmann Productions presents the tragi-comic classic The Killing of Sister George in London and touring to the South West in 2010.

This classic and explosive tragi-comedy tells the story of June Buckridge who may very soon lose her job as Sister George, a loveable character on a popular BBC serial. As June struggles with this looming disaster her relationship with Alice is stretched to the limit. Enter Mrs Mercy Croft (Assistant Head at the BBC) to complete this triangle of power and passion.

Controversial on it’s first release, this is a compelling piece of theatre, full of laughter and tears. Not to be missed

Cast:

  • Petina Hapgood as June Buckridge
  • Katy Federman as Alice McNaught
  • Sue Ferguson as Mercy Croft
  • Maggie Robson as Madame Xenia

The piece is imaginatively directed by Matthew Parker.

This production toured the UK in 2010.
